SUPERFAN EVENT - REOPENED!

Attention all Clanners!

As many of you know, the Michelle Paver Superfan Event is due to be held soon on Saturday the 14th of July in London at the headquarters of Puffin, the publishers for Michelle's exciting new series GODS AND WARRIORS. It has now become an event open to all members of The Clan!* What is the Superfan Event and why do we think every member of The Clan will want to go? It's a very unusual one-of-a-kind event in which attendees will be able to meet and talk to Michelle herself, ask her to sign their books, meet some of the administrators and moderators of The Clan, and most importantly, get a significant preview of the first book of the series - Gods and Warriors itself! I'm also told there will be cake...

You'll also have noticed that previously this event was even more exclusive in that it was limited to the top 49 Clanners from the UK* who were under the age of 18. Well, we've spoken to Michelle and we've agreed that we'd prefer to reward the most stalwart of Michelle's fans who've been with her since the Chronicles of Ancient Darkness series, most of whom are now 18 or over, by inviting them to the event; so the under-18 stipulation has now been removed (although under-16's must still be accompanied by a parent or guardian)!

**Due to legal reasons, Puffin can't lift the UK-only restriction, unfortunately. I realise this is a massive disappointment, but if there is enough interest, we at The Clan will be looking into speaking to Michelle's foreign language publishers and looking at possibly running similar Superfan events in separate countries. We'll let you know more soon!

So, whilst the Superfan event is still exclusive to Clan members only, we're now opening the invitation Clan-wide; if you live in the UK, would like to come spend a great day out in London with Michelle, The Clan and her publishers, here are the details of the event:

Time: Saturday 14th July (1:30pm for a 2:00pm start / finish by 4:30pm)

Venue address: 10th Floor, Puffin Books, 80 Strand, London, WC2R 0RL

Events on offer:

-an exclusive first look at the brand new Puffin trailer for Gods & Warriors
-a chance to hear Michelle talk about her research, writing and the new series
-a Q&A session where you can put all your burning questions to Michelle - so please do come with your questions prepared!
-the ultimate super fan Michelle Paver quiz – test your knowledge on all things Chronicles of Ancient Darkness for the chance to win one of five limited proof copies of Gods and Warriors
- author signing with Michelle (copies of Gods and Warriors will not be available for sale on the day, so please do bring copies of anything you already own and want signed)
…and more surprises on the day!

Please note the following:

-If you are under-18, you must be accompanied by a parent/guardian aged 18 or over. The parent/guardian will be allowed into the event, but only Clanners will be entitled to receive free goodies and prizes
-Winners and parents/guardians will need to pay for their own travel and/or accommodation expenses
-Light refreshments will be served during the event (no lunch will be provided, so please eat beforehand!)
