Just wanted to remind you all that whether your spending valentines day with someone, or going solo, that you can have fun either waaaaay!

I for one have decided to spend my valentines day alone (Although I did get a few offers) I'd prefer to go be a fatty with my friends and make fun of sappy movies :x

I for one think being singles awesome and it comes with alot of perks, such as:
1) Marked down chocolate on February 15
2) Being able to send yourself flowers/chocolate
3)ITS A NO BARS, ALL YOU CAN EAT, SAD MOVIE, SELF PITY FEST take advantage of it!
4) Every place that isn't DINNER or a MOVIE will be dead so you can go ahead and treat yourself to some crazy random activity that you'd normally never want to do.
5) You can order take out, and every place will expect your ordering for 2 but your really just ordering extra for youself
AND
6) You can wear whatever you want, remove your makeup, put your hair back and have to impress absolutely no one.

SOUNDS LIKE FUN TO ME. Not that spending time with someone you genuinely love isn't equally as nice! And for all of you who think being single is the end of the world and you're wallowing in self pity.. just remember you could be waking up and finding this man at your door.

Well, actually, he's nearly finished the last book. He loves them and I don't think i;ll ever get these books back again. Haha!
On the C.O.A.D theme, I have to do a costume for my Textiles A-Levels so i've chosen to do a costume of Torak. Well, 2 or three. 1 will be his summer clothes, another his winter clothes and the last on his Far North clothes. I can't wait, but I could be doing either Torak or Renn's clothes.
OR.
I could be making plushies. It's our choice, but I think the costumes would be awesome.

Anyway, I hope you are all doing well. Half term next WEEK!, or if you're very lucky then you're already on it and can I swap places with you pleeaaaase?

Ahem, I think I deserve a little pointless activity. ^_^ The only work I have left are close-reads of two articles on the Korean War and to read an essay by E.B. White. Oh, and I practically need to rewrite my whole History IA, but eh. That one can wait. I'm also gonna rant a bit about that.
My IA (Internal Assessment) would be really good--if only if the sources I used were scholarly. -_- I would only have to fix up some things. But noooo. It's stoopid. I can do everything one can do with scholarly sources with non-scholarly sources. Non-scholarly sources--especially in history--have the same information, they just aren't written by people who are regarded as professionals. Take one of my sources for example, written by Steve Sheinkin, a textbook writer with a Benedict Arnold obsession that led him to excessively researching him. But a textbook writer isn't considered scholarly, despite the fact that he knows all this information like the back of his hand! Plus, everyone has opinions and arguments. It's really unfair (for both non-scholarly sources and myself) in my opinion.

Part I
On either side the river lie
Long fields of barley and of rye,
That clothe the wold and meet the sky;
And thro' the field the road runs by
To many-tower'd Camelot;
The yellow-leaved waterlily
The green-sheathed daffodilly
Tremble in the water chilly
Round about Shalott.

Willows whiten, aspens shiver.
The sunbeam showers break and quiver
In the stream that runneth ever
By the island in the river
Flowing down to Camelot.
Four gray walls, and four gray towers
Overlook a space of flowers,
And the silent isle imbowers
The Lady of Shalott.

Underneath the bearded barley,
The reaper, reaping late and early,
Hears her ever chanting cheerly,
Like an angel, singing clearly,
O'er the stream of Camelot.
Piling the sheaves in furrows airy,
Beneath the moon, the reaper weary
Listening whispers, ' 'Tis the fairy,
Lady of Shalott.'

The little isle is all inrail'd

A bow-shot from her bower-eaves,

Beside remote Shalott.

Any one else watch the Melbourne Open? Ive just finished watching the Final. Poor Andy Murry. Will he ever win? Djokovic guarding his title for six years. Murry didnt seem to be able to get up. He won one set, then it all went down hill. Pulled his hamstring, ouch :/ it was a good match, but I was stil rooting for Murry.
